Seal Your Record Colorado was founded with one goal in mind. To help others. Only individuals with a criminal history truly understand the challenges and obstacles associated with paying for mistakes long since passed. It is a club of the underserved, mistaken, and marginalized for whom virtually no resources are available. Having a criminal record is like a cancer that permeates every aspect of life. It's like having an opportunity cap set so low that often even achieving basic subsistence is challenging. It would be hard to understate the benefits and opportunities that present themselves to an individual who has had their criminal record sealed. That is why we are here.
Our Story
Our story is your story. We've spent years struggling with the impact of mistakes long since passed. We have lost jobs because of criminal records and have been denied jobs and housing following a background check. We've also experienced the heartbreak of finding that perfect job and knowing it just won't happen because of the outcome of the background investigation. We've experienced the sadness, heartbreak, and loss that comes from not being allowed to meet our true potential because of mistakes made in our past.

Seal Your Record Colorado was founded because we saw a need. The state legislature has opened the door to getting a record sealed for many of us, but the process can be complicated. Our hope is that through our self-help approach or with our assistance we can make the possibility of a clean record available to anyone who wants to engage in the effort.
